MA, Clinical Counsellor and Founder of She's Unbound

Shannon Emery, MA CCC-Q – Counselling for Women in Midlife

Shannon is a Clinical Counsellor and the founder of She’s Unbound. Her work is dedicated to the complex realities of midlife and grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed approach that integrates somatic awareness with cognitive-behavioural strategies.
Shannon founded She’s Unbound out of a deep belief that women in midlife deserve to feel seen, understood, and celebrated. Too often, this stage of life is viewed through a lens of deficit—focused on what is changing, fading, or being lost. Shannon sees something far more powerful: a profound becoming. It is an opportunity for women to reconnect with the parts of themselves that may have been set aside, question expectations that no longer fit, and step more fully into who they are.
Through counselling, retreats, workshops, and honest conversation, Shannon creates spaces where women can navigate hormonal changes, shifting identities, evolving relationships, grief, and life’s deeper transitions with compassion and courage. She’s Unbound reflects her passion for helping women move beyond simply coping with midlife and begin experiencing themselves as whole, worthy, and fully alive.
